“Christmas is a celebration of the day our Heavenly Father took off divinity and put on humanity” Dr. Ed Young

Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian outreach fellowship of believers dedicated to showing the people of the Yucatan Peninsula, through our teaching, actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

“Somehow, not only for Christmas
But all the long year through
The joy that you give to others
Is the joy that comes back to you
And the more you spend in blessing
The poor and lonely and sad
The more of your heart's possessing
Returns to you glad”
John Greenleaf Whittier

In January, 2012, we will be starting a renovation of the kitchen and laundry area plumbing. It is the next step we need to take now that the kitchen and pantry have been renovated. The project should not take longer than a week and will add significantly to the home. The normal day-to-day operation of the home will not be effected. We will post pictures on the website upon completion.

“Jesus is the reason for the season!” Kirk Franklin

With the financial help of our Community of Faith Cancun English and Spanish service and 200+ worldwide Mission Partners, this past week, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide eggs, cheese, chorizo, molida especial, pork, cereal, peanut butter, bananas, oranges and sugar to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a contribution to our Casa Hogar Children’s Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom.

"From home to home, and heart to heart, from one place to another, the warmth and joy of Christmas brings us closer to each other.” Emily Matthews

Christmas Eve at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza was wonderful, a genuine recharge for the soul’s batteries. You were represented by Cherilyn, Henry, TJ and Tom. Haven and her family were also there to help out and enjoy the fellowship. The children were a delight to watch and be with and all faces were filled with joy and appreciation. Our group arrived around 8:00 PM to place their presents around the tree and wait for our children to return from church. Before the children’s Christmas celebration we all gathered around tables to enjoy their traditional Christmas Eve feast. We cannot think of a better way to celebrate the eve of the greatest day in the history of our world. If you did not make it, why not join us next year?

“Christmas Eve was a night of song that wrapped itself about you like a shawl. But it warmed more than your body. It warmed your heart… filled it, too, with a melody that would last forever.” Bess Streeter Aldrich

Heartfelt thanks go out to all of our glorious Mission Partners that helped make this the best Christmas and best year ever for our children. Words absolutely cannot express our appreciation for your generosity and continued support. You are the light of Christ.

“A joy that is shared is a joy made double.” John Roy

The Webster Dictionary defines a missionary as “someone on a mission - especially a religious or charitable mission to a foreign country”. You may not consider yourself a missionary, but you are. Through your teaching, actions and love, you are showing the children of Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza the life changing power of Jesus Christ. God Bless You!

“I am not alone at all, I thought. I was never alone at all. And that, of course, is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the word seemingly most indifferent. For this is still the time God chooses.” Taylor Caldwell

Our Christmas Day Community of Faith Cancun English service was fantastic. It started with 30 minutes of traditional Christmas music which allowed us time to enjoy conversation and fellowship with our friends. Listening music was followed by singing traditional hymns, a great Christmas service lesson and a candlelight close.

“Christmas is a season for kindling the fire for hospitality in the hall and the genial flame of charity in the heart.” Washington Irving

Mark Shook will be providing this Sunday’s lesson on “God’s Law of Abundance”. We will be returning to our normal 10:00 AM service time and hope you will join us. We have previewed the lesson and know that you will enjoy it. If, for some reason, you cannot make it to church, the link below will allow you to view it from home. It’s a great lesson…don’t miss it! http://communityoffaith.lightcastmedia.com/console/3150/1751713864

As we have discussed, this week’s service will start at 9:30 AM featuring Christmas music by Ernesto Cortazar II. Ernesto Cortazar II (1940–2004) was a contemporary classical composer and pianist. He started his music career in Mexico at the age of 18 composing the background music for the motion picture La Risa de la Ciudad. Since then, he has composed background music for more than 500 motion pictures. He also gained notoriety by topping the popularity on MP3.com - a leading music-sharing service, popular with independent musicians for promoting their work. He traveled to more than 25 countries to perform. In 2001, Ernesto moved from Los Angeles to Tampico, Mexico to live his last years near his family, where he died in 2004. His music legacy is continued by his two sons, Ernesto Cortazar III and Edgar Cortazar, who are successful songwriters in the Latin market. We promise you will enjoy the pre-church music so come early, relax and enjoy Christmas Day with us.

We have added a new page to our website and we feel you will find the information enjoyable. To view the page, please click on the link below:

Donald has opened an auto repair shop (Cancun Repair Center) in the business park behind the Comfort Inn on Autopista 307 and near the airport. To find his building, go through security and proceed straight ahead. Once you get to the concrete wall turn right and at the next road turn left. Many of our church members and friends have used his services and we are very happy to have his business in Cancun. Tell Don you heard about him in the CCF Newsletter.

Last week, we had the pleasure of spending time at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza with new Mission Partners from Texas and Serbia. Their children spent quality time with our children and all had a great afternoon.

Interesting information: We continually monitor traffic source information on our blog. We find the information useful in our effort to reach new Worldwide Mission Partners. The information reflected below is for calendar year 2011. Our daily blog “hits” continue to increase and we are very thankful for that. Our Christian Mission Outreach has been viewed by people representing over 45% of the countries in the world. Below are the Top Ten countries reflected by the number of “hits” received:
United States 867
Mexico 473

Food for thought:
When God saw you ... it was love at first sight.
He paid a debt, He did not owe; You owed a debt, you could not pay.
Only God can give all of Himself to everyone.
God needs our availability more than our ability.
The safest place to be is within the Will of God.
God understands our prayers even when we can't find the words to say them.
Unless we rely on God's power within us, we will yield to the pressures around us.
Prayer is more effective when we spend as much time listening as we do talking.
The Bible is a compass, pointing you in the right direction.
A good exercise for the heart is to bend down and help another up.
Prayer doesn't always change things, but it will change you.
God without man is still God. Man without God is nothing.
The wages of sin have never been reduced.
God doesn't want shares of your life, He wants controlling interest.
We need to seek God Himself more than His gifts.
And our all time favorite: If you were on trial for being a Christian ... would there be enough evidence to convict you?

11/23/2011 Newsletter and Update

Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian outreach fellowship of believers dedicated to showing the people of the Yucatan Peninsula, through our teaching, actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

11/23/2011

If you are considering a commodity donation to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are some items that are currently needed:
1. Milk & Eggs
2. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
3. Twin Size Blankets (winter is here)

If you are vacationing or living in the Riviera Maya, we invite you to attend our Sunday Service. We offer a non-denominational, Bible based Christian church with exceptional service lessons, a warm and friendly congregation and a strong and meaningful Christian Mission Outreach program.

If you are in Cancun and have a clothing donation for our children, contact Cherilyn for sorting, sizing and Wednesday delivery. Please make sure all items donated are clean and serviceable. Currently, we especially need clothing for young girls ages 6-11.

With help of Wendy Sombito (our helping ANGEL at 2nd Baptist Church in Houston), we will be viewing Dr. Ed Young’s Christmas Eve service on December 25th. This is the same lesson other Christians around the world will be watching Christmas Day. We have also located appropriate traditional seasonal music and we feel you will enjoy the Christmas Day fellowship. Christmas Day falls on Sunday and we are offering a Christmas Day service at the usual time and location and we hope as many of you as possible will attend. Looking for a great way to start your Christmas Day festivities…join our Cancun Christian family in praise and celebration.

We have been blessed with financial donations to benefit our children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. We are always grateful for the assistance we receive from our worldwide mission partners. Recent donations include:
• Scott, Cheri and family, Alabama: Children’s Christmas
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Christmas
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• COF Member, Quintana Roo: Children’s Food Fund
• Larry, Sasha and family, Texas: Children’s Christmas & Children's Food Fund
• Peter and Yelena, Serbia: Children’s Christmas and Children's Food Fund

We want to thank all Mission Partners and COF members for their continuing contributions and support. In addition to our weekly expenses for food and sundries, in the month of December we will be providing Christmas joy for sixteen children and four adults. We absolutely could not do it without you.

We want to offer a note of appreciation and special thanks to Cancun Brian. Brian is always there with a helping hand when we need him.

With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, this past week, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide a week’s supply of mermelada, eggs, cheese (yellow and white), chicken, chorizo, pork, ham and turkey lunchmeat, salchicha hotdogs, molida especial and milk to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to our Casa Hogar Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom.

Food for thought: We are all in God's hands all of our lives, even when we least expect it. He is our Father, and wants His children to come to him always. He loves us all, good or bad.

Never be ashamed to call out to God for help. We all call out to God in times of need, but we seldom call out to God when we are happy to thank him for the happy and joyful times in our lives, let's give him the thanks and praise he deserves for giving us the lives we have. He surrounds us with his love and his mercy. For only when we truly face the unknown situations of our lives do we understand the depth of our lives.

We need to walk with him every day and acknowledge him in everything we do. Let him lead you and let him carry you when you can't walk. Let him be in control, for you can't control your life. You can control certain things, but he controls everything, let him be in control. Let God be your main purpose for being.

LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE - LANCE PRICE: We all enjoyed Lance Price’s sermon last Sunday. For those that missed it, this week’s lesson (11/27/2011) is your chance to catch Lance again. His lesson is on “The Old and the New”, we have previewed it and we know you will like it. You are invited to join us for a phenomenal hour of worship, music and Christian fellowship.

Frito Scoops: After careful analysis and a lot of leg work, it appears the last Frito Scoops in Cancun are at the Superama north of Coba/Kukulkan on Bonampak. They still had a reasonable supply but they won’t last long. Two weeks ago they had a large supply of “Goldfish” but there were completely sold out today. Small pleasures don’t last long in the Yucatan.

A tentative date of 12/13/2011 has been set for our Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza’s Christmas decoration party. So far, volunteers include Anna, Linda, Tom, Cherilyn and Katherine, but we need more help. Please contact Cherilyn if you would like to volunteer and share your Christmas joy and love with our children.

Tom and Cherilyn had the pleasure of spending Monday afternoon (just hanging out) with Evelyn, one of our children from Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. She was a delight to be with. Time flew by much too fast and the really hard part was taking her home. We are already planning our next outing with her. Being with Evelyn was Christ’s food for our souls.

At our “after church lunch” Sunday, we discussed the Hatfield and Hollander families, wonderful Mission Partners from the US, and what a spiritual impact they had on our CCF volunteers. They are truly God’s gift that keeps on giving.

More food for thought: I asked God to take away my pride. And God said "No".  He said it was not for Him to take away, but for me to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. And God said "No".  He said her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience. And God said "No".  He said patience is a by-product of tribulations. It isn't granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness. And God said "No". He said He gives me blessings, happiness is up to me.
I asked God to spare me pain. And God said "No". He said suffering draws me apart from worldly cares and brings me closer to Him.
I asked God to make my spirit grow. And God said "No". He said I must grow on my own. But He will prune me to make me fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. And God said "No". He said He will give me life, that I may enjoy all things.
I ask God to help me love others, as much as he loves me. And God said "Ah, finally you have the idea!" Graham Pockett

Christmas day is just around the corner and we continue with our plans for the children’s Christmas at Casa Hogar, our Cancun Christian home. We want this year’s activities to be even better than last and we are asking assistance. You can sponsor a child’s Christmas joy with a $50.00 donation (and we could really use your help). More details will follow soon. To see last year’s Christmas activities, go to www.cancunchristianfellowship.com and click on the gallery.

11/16/2011 News Letter

Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. 3. Twin Size Blankets (winter is here)

Lance is back. For that Lance Price lover in you, for the next several Sundays, Lance will be offering our spiritual message at Community of Faith Church Cancun’s English Service. We have previewed the first message and you will not be disappointed.

If you are vacationing or living in the Riviera Maya, we invite you to attend our Sunday Service. We are a non-denominational, Bible based Christian church that offers exceptional lessons, a warm and friendly congregation and a strong and meaningful Mission Outreach program. We are the oldest English speaking Christian church in Cancun.

If you are in Cancun and have a clothing donation for our children, contact Cherilyn for sorting, sizing and Wednesday delivery. Please make sure all items donated are clean and serviceable. Currently, we especially need clothing for young girls ages 6-11.

What a great group in church this past Sunday including guests and new members. Speaking of new members, TJ spoke on bringing new members into our Christian family. It is a topic we should all be giving serious consideration to.

For the past several newsletters, we have requested that our Mission Partners email us pictures of themselves and their families. We want to add a new Mission Partner gallery page to our website. Either no one is reading the newsletter OR no one wants to send a picture. We promise we will not use your names in the gallery…we simply want the world to see your smiling faces. We are very grateful for your assistance and we want to share our joy with others. Someone has to be the first to send a picture…why not let it be you?

We are currently working on the Christmas service with a great lesson and appropriate traditional seasonal music. Christmas Day falls on Sunday this year and we are planning a Christmas Day service at the usual time and we hope as many of you as possible will attend. Want a great way to start your Christmas Day festivities…join your Cancun Christian family in praise and celebration.

We have been blessed with financial donations to benefit our children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. We are always grateful for the assistance we receive from our worldwide mission partners. Recent donations include:
• Jon, Kristi, Jared & Kaylin, Washington: Children’s Christmas and Food Fund

• Shawn and Suzanne, Quintana Roo: Food Fund

We want to thank all Mission Partners and church members for their continuing contributions and support. In addition to our weekly expenses for food and sundries, in the month of December we will be providing Christmas joy for sixteen children and four adults. We absolutely could not do it without you.

As many of you know, last Sunday was Katy and Prince’s last Cancun family Sunday for a while. Please join me in praying for their safe return in mid January. Our service is never the same without them.

Now for really happy news, we have been contacted by Mike and Heidi from the US and they are planning a Cancun wedding in February, 2012. They will be attending our church service during their visit and all members are invited to their wedding ceremony offered by Tom in Puerto Morelos. We will give you more details at a later date.

With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, this past week, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide a week’s supply of eggs, cheese (yellow and white), chicken, chorizo, pork, ham and turkey lunchmeat, hotdogs and milk to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to our Casa Hogar Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom.

If you have ideas on ways to improve our Sunday service, please share them with us…we are listening. Your thoughts are important to us.

Christmas day is getting closer and we continue to plan for the children’s Christmas at Casa Hogar, our Cancun Christian home. We want this year’s activities to be even better than last and we are asking for your ideas and financial assistance. You can sponsor a child’s Christmas joy with a $50.00 donation (and we could really use your help). Angeles, a friend of TJ, also donated children’s toys and clothes to our children.

Over the past few weeks, we have had several families from the US visit our Christian home and make donations to the children. Several of the groups were fluent in Spanish and with young children that really interacted well with the children at the home.

Financial donations have also been received from the Abe and Gloria Derksen family in Canada (CH Christmas Fund) and Teresa Weatherly (CH Food Fund) in Texas. Both have been loyal and faithful Mission Partners and we could not do our work without them.

Matthew 25: 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? 38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? 39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'

Great news … with the help and generosity of our Community of Faith Cancun English Service partners, we were able to make a meaningful financial donation to the COF Houston East African Relief Effort. Community of Faith Houston will be raising $120,000.00 to purchase and deliver food and water to starving people Ethiopia, Somalia and Kenya.

Christmas at Casa Hogar para Ninos Experanza

It may seem a little early to some but Christmas is closer than you think and we need to start planning for the children’s Christmas at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, our Christian home in Bonfil.

Last year we held a Christmas decorating party (wow, what a great success), purchased gifts for the children and several of our volunteers attended a Christmas Eve gathering at the home with Pastor Mancilla, Esther Mancilla and the children.

This year, we are again asking that you and your family consider adopting one or more of our children for Christmas. Your $50.00 donation will help provide Christmas for a child that our Father has placed in our care.

Many of you have visited the home and enjoyed Christian fellowship with our volunteers and the children while others have followed and supported our work through our website, blog and Face Book.

Pictures of last year’s Christmas activities are in the Gallery section of our website (www.cancunchristianfellowship.com) and we invite you to experience the joy of serving God by serving others.

If you have questions, thoughts or simply desire additional information, contact Cherilyn Martin (cherilynmartin@gmail.com) or Tom Martin (tommartinmx@gmail.com). Your love, prayers and support are sincerely appreciated.

We have two new Mission Partners this week. Maria Ali and Rick Conley, both of Houston, have honored us with financial donations to benefit our Christian home. Their donations will be used to purchase food for Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. Our food supply money always seems to be on the verge of critical and your donations, along with your confidence in our work, are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Speaking of donations to our food fund, Andrew Barrey, a Mission Partner from the US has increased his commitment to our work through another financial donation. Andrew asked that the donation be used to benefit our home and we have already added it to the food fund. Thanks Andrew…it will only be about fourteen months before you and your wife join our Cancun family on a permanent basis. It’s a great place to live, worship and serve our Father and we look forward to having you.

Teresa Weatherly, another Houston area Mission Partner, also increased her commitment to our work. Teresa is one of our most loyal supporters and her generosity to our children is a blessing. Thank you for your continued support. We hope to see you soon.

If you have relevant photos you would like posted to the website or one of our FaceBook pages, please email them to tommartinmx@gmail.com and we will make sure they go up.

We would also like to start a Mission Partner photo page on the website. Mission Partners, for this to work, you need to send us a picture of you and/or your family. We look forward to receiving and posting them. Please email them to cancunchristianfellowship@gmail.com .

The Wednesday morning and Thursday evening Christian Ladies’ Group is taking a summer vacation and will not meet during the month of July. The next meetings are scheduled for the 3rd and 4th of August. Cherilyn Martin will keep you updated.

“The badge of courage does not require that we walk through something dangerous. It simply requires that we continue to share God's love whenever and wherever we are.” Tom White

For those of you that frequently travel to the US, this will not mean much but, we have discovered that Chedraui on Kabah across from Soriana now has Frito Scoops. WOW! The Shaw’s are special friends, friends that our Father placed in our care a short time ago…friends that we will never forget. There donation will be used to purchase groceries for our children. “He has great tranquility of heart who cares neither for the praises nor the fault-finding of men. He will easily be content and pacified, whose conscience is pure. You are not holier if you are praised, nor the more worthless if you are found fault with. What you are, that you are; neither by word can you be made greater than what you are in the sight of God.”  Thomas a Kempis

We are very happy to report that Cancun Christian Fellowship has received another financial donation from Teresa Weatherly to benefit our children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. We always say this but maybe someday it will happen; “Teresa, we hope you join us in the very near future.” Thank you for your continued support and faith in our Mission Outreach.

No matter where you are, you are part of our family.

“Resentment and gratitude cannot coexist, since resentment blocks the perception and experience of life as a gift. My resentment tells me that I don't receive what I deserve. It always manifests itself in envy."  Henri J. M. Nouwen

Last week’s Mission Partners work group at our Cancun Christian orphanage was absolutely fantastic. The Hatfield’s and the Hollander’s are amazing families and we are extremely pleased to have them as Mission Partners. Words cannot express our appreciation to them for their work and their fellowship. Henry, Katherine and Santiago assisted but it was clear from the start that our new Mission Partners were in complete control. Thank you and may our Father bless you and all you do in His service.

While we are on the subject, we have received inquiries from other Christian groups in the United States that have found and are following our work through our website, blogsite and facebook and desire to join us as Mission Partners in our Christian Mission Outreach. Our Father continues to provide for our children.

Remember: This Sunday, July 3rd is our Pizza luncheon at Shakey’s Pizza. We will meet at Malecon las Americas at 1:00. All church members and Mission Partners are invited to attend and there is a playground for the children. Come hungry and have fun with your Cancun Christian family. We hope to see all of you there.

It was great having Prince Turner in attendance last week. Prince, we have missed you.

Kim Wagner has suffered a mishap with her foot and is currently in pain and experiencing a lack of mobility. Please keep Kim in your prayers.

“I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly God was speaking: "My name is I am." I waited and God continued: "When you live in the past, with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I was. When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I will be. When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here. My name is I AM." Helen Mellincost

We trust all of you are enjoying our much needed rain. Besides the greening effect and dust control, the rain makes sleeping in a non-air conditioned casa a pleasure.

This Sunday’s service will be presented by Mark Shook and Dr. Damon Shook and is titled “The Secret to Satisfaction”. Bring the children and enjoy the Service.

Esther Mancilla is out of the hospital and getting as much rest as possible at the home. All will agree that she is a remarkable lady. We ask you to Please keep her in your prayers.

Romans 10:9-11 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship purchased and delivered a week’s supply of eggs, cheese, chicken, chorizo, pork, milk, tomato puree and jelly to our Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every Wednesday. If you would like to make a donation to the Casa Hogar Food Fund, please tell Cherilyn or Tom.

Thursday evening, we had the pleasure of having dinner with the Robert Hollander family and the Walt Hatfield family. You will have the opportunity to meet these special families in church this Sunday.

It was great having Kathy Turner in attendance again. We all hope Prince is able to join her this week.

After church most Sundays, several families get together for lunch and relaxing conversation. If you would like to join us (and we would love to have you), please tell Cherilyn or Tom and they will be happy to give you the current location. These lunches are usually in traditional Mexican restaurants and you will not have to take your banker along to cover your bill. It is an opportunity to spend meaningful time with your family… and yes, children are always welcome.

The Pizza Luncheon is definitely on for Sunday, July 3rd. We will meet at Shakey’s Pizza, Malecon Plaza at 1:00. Remember, all church members and Mission Partners are invited to attend and there is a playground for the children. We hope to see all of you there.

Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

We have work scheduled for next week at Casa Hogar Para Ninos Esperanza. The Hollander and Hatfield families will be showing off their painting skills. The final rewards of their work will provide additional income for our Christian home.

The Lipp boys continue to keep our children in diapers. Thanks guys.

Harry Cuneaz, our newest Mission Partner, has honored us with a financial donation to our Christian home food fund and joined our list of Mission Partners. Thanks Harry, your assistance is really appreciated.

The Shawn Bandick family from Playa del Carmen has graced us with another financial donation to benefit our children. Their donation will also go to the food fund. Thanks go out to the Bandick’s for their continued support of our Mission Outreach.

This Sunday’s service will be presented by Mark Shook and is titled “A Spiritual Eye Exam”. Mark’s excellent lesson series on “Secrets” is drawing to a close and you don’t want to miss them. Bring the children and enjoy the lesson.

Ephesians 2:4-9 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

This week’s Men’s Group lesson is titled “Are You Saved” and a lesson that all men should hear and discuss. We hope to see you there.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

The Sorensen’s also delivered clothes and games to Casa Hogar and purchased shoes for several of the children. This is great news: There were 38 people in church last Sunday, 8 men in today Men’s Group and 8 ladies in today’s Women’s Group. Why not join us?

The luncheon will be open to all church members and Mission Partners.

This Sunday’s service will be presented by Mark Shook and is titled “How to Know That You Know”. It is a continuation of Mark’s excellent lesson series on “Secrets”. Bring the children and enjoy the lesson.
