Cancun Christian Fellowship 3/31/2011 News Letter

There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love.” Bryant H. McGill

If you are considering a commodity donation to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are some items that are currently needed:
1. Milk / Cheese / Eggs
2. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
3. Baby Diapers Size Infant
4. Baby clothes for a very young lady

Gary and Marti Mason provided the grocery shopping for our Christian home this week. They purchased and deliver eggs, milk, pork, beef, chicken, and hotdogs to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. This Sunday will be Gary and Marti’s last Sunday to be with our family for a while. Be sure to wish them well when you see them.

Trish Gonzalez and her family donated clothes, diapers and milk and volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were happy to deliver the items to the orphanage for them this week. The Gonzalez family continues to feel the joy of serving God by serving others and we are grateful for their ongoing assistance.

I am assured that we will be receiving a shipment of diapers from the US this week. I am told the actual date will be next Monday.

“I have found that if you love life, life will love you back.” Arthur Rubinstein

New pictures will be added to http://www.cancunchristianfellowship.com/ next week. Included will be additional pictures of Mission Partner visits and also before, during and after pictures of the recent remodel work at the home.

James and Tammy Derksen along with family members Abe and Gloria Derksen, all Mission Partners from Canada, continue to grace our family with financial donations for the Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza’s food fund. Many of you remember the Derksen’s from their visit to our Sunday service and their visit to the home. As always, your help is really appreciated and we look forward to your return.

“They say to be a leader, not a follower. I say that a follower of Jesus is the most notable position one could hold.”

A Baptism Service is planned for Sunday, April 3rd at 2:00 PM. Lory Kelly has volunteered her home in the Hotel Zone for the event.  The service is open to all members of our Christian family and mission partners. We hope you will attend this special celebration.

CCF Newsletter 3/21/2011

3/21/2011

Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisors.

If you are considering a commodity donation to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are some items that are currently needed:
1. Milk / Cheese / Eggs
2. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
3. Baby Diapers Size Infant for Lorena
4. Baby clothes for a very young lady

With the help of our Mission Partners, in the past several weeks, Cancun Christian Fellowship has continued to purchase and deliver eggs, milk, pork, beef, chicken, chorizo, cheese and diapers to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza.

Gary and Marti Mason continue to make needed donations of Diapers for Ruth Noami. On a sad note, Gary and Marti will be headed back to the US shortly and we will be losing our diaper connection as well as weekly fellowship with our friends. Please remember, diapers are always needed and appreciated. Thanks again Gary and Marti, we are missing you already.

I have been told that we will be getting a shipment of diapers from the US in the next two weeks and will provide further information at that time.

It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live one.

We have finished with most repairs and remodels to Casa Hogar. Repairs and improvements included:
1. Complete retile of the pantry area
2. Complete retile of the kitchen
3. The addition of a double sink and new plumbing and fixtures
4. Installation of commercial grade cabinets
5. Installation of below counter top commercial grade doors
6. New sinks, counter top, fixtures, plumbing and a complete repaint in the downstairs girl’s bathroom
7. New windows and screens in Lorena’s room
8. New tile on the counter top between the dining room and the kitchen

Still to go:
1. New window and screen for the upstairs boy’s bathroom
2. New screens on the Pastor and Esther’s bedroom

As you can see, we have been busy. TJ and Brian Schaefer were more than instrumental in bringing the process to reality. Thank you so much!

New pictures will be added to http://www.cancunchristianfellowship.com/ when TJ returns from the US. I will admit that I forgot to copy them off his flash drive.

Some minds are like concrete, thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.

Katherine donated items for baby Ruth Noami. She knows just what the little girl needed.

New Mission Partners, Garth and Eileen Buhr, along with their three daughters, visited our Christian home this week. Many of you had the privilege of meeting the Buhr family in church last Sunday. They brought clothes for the children and made a financial donation to our mission outreach. We will use the donation to purchase a locking filing cabinet and the remainder will go to our weekly food fund. Our hearts and sincere thanks go out to the Buhrs. Welcome to our Cancun Christian family.

Trish and her family donated several bags of young ladies’ clothes along with several packages of diapers. The clothes are beautiful and the girls will look wonderful in them. Cancun Christian Fellowship was happy to deliver the donated items for Trish.

Victoria Alvarez joined recently joined our church and is now very involved with the women’s groups and our mission outreach. Please welcome Victoria when you see her in church.

Don't put a question mark where God put a period.

We will be offering a Baptism Service for Victoria and TJ on Sunday, April 3rd. The service is currently planned for Puerto Morelos. If you would like to be baptized or re-baptized, please contact me for further instructions. The service is open to all members of our Christian family and mission partners. We hope you will attend this special celebration.

If I missed anything or anyone, please send me an email for a prompt correction.
