Our Mission: We are servants of God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian outreach fellowship of believers dedicated to showing the people of the Yucatan Peninsula, through our teaching, actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

2/29/2012 (that’s right, it’s leap year)

WOW!!!!!  Is our new church facility magnanimous or what?
We do not know of a nicer facility in Cancun and it is such a beautiful place for our Christian family to meet, learn and fellowship.

If you are considering a commodity contribution to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are items that are currently needed:
1. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
2. Clothes for young ladies ages 6-11
3. Games and crafts in Spanish

“I never had a policy; I have just tried to do my very best each and every day.” Abraham Lincoln

If you are in the Riviera Maya and have a clothing contribution for our children, please contact Cherilyn Martin for sorting, sizing and Wednesday delivery. Please strive to make sure all items offered are clean and serviceable.

“Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it.” David Star Jordan

We have been blessed with gifts to benefit our children at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. We are always grateful for the assistance we receive from our worldwide mission partners. Recent gifts include:
CCF Member: Children’s Food Fund

CCF Member: Children’s Clothing
CCF Member: Church Donation

“Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. There are too many people who think that the only thing that's right is to get by, and the only thing that's wrong is to get caught.” J.C. Watts

With the financial help of our worldwide Mission Partners, volunteers from Cancun Christian Fellowship were able to provide eggs, cheese (yellow and white), molida especial, pork, salchicha dokkers, sliced ham and turkey, chicken and milk, to our Cancun Christian home. Groceries are purchased and delivered every week. If you would like to make a contribution to our Casa Hogar Children’s Food Fund, please contact Cherilyn or Tom Martin.

“Character is much easier kept than recovered.” Thomas Paine

It’s true, Mark Shook is really back and primed to share the gospel! This Sunday, 3/4/2012, Community of Faith Cancun will offer a new lesson in English by Pastor Shook. The lesson covers “How the Bible Changes Us”. It is the second lesson in Mark’s series on 40 Days in the World. Please join us in our magnificent new location on Yaxchilan. We hope to see you this Sunday.

“Don't try to be different. Just be good. To be good is different enough.” Arthur Freed

We have added new pictures, testimony and gallery pages to our website. The website has also received a facelift on pages one and two. New information concerning our activities has been included. If it has been a while since you have visited our website, why not take a few minutes and browse the pages. http://www.cancunchristianfellowship.com/

“The right to do something does not mean that doing it is right.” William Safire

It is nice having George and Gene back in Cancun and fellowshipping with their CoF Cancun family. Welcome Home!

Upcoming Events:
The new plan is to start the renovation of the upstairs community bathroom at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza Tuesday, March 6th. The room will be stripped of all tile and fixtures and will be completely redone. This project has been on the drawing table for several months and it will be nice to bring it to reality. As with last month’s septic system improvements, it will absolutely change the quality of life for our wonderful children.

“Live in such a way that you would not be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip.” Will Rogers

This week’s pre-church fishing video will feature the Captain Blair Wiggins from Addictive Fishing pursuing Redfish along the Louisiana coast. As always, there is enough fishing action to please even the diehard angler. Join us at 9:15 AM, relax and enjoy the show.

“The only exercise some people get is jumping to conclusions, running down their friends, side-stepping responsibility, and pushing their luck!” Author Unknown

Thanks go out to Matthew Crook with Community of Faith in Houston. Perseverance wins out over compliancy and Matthew is truly our “go to” guy for technical issues with Community of Faith service lessons. Thanks Matthew, YOU ARE THE MAN!

“Every job is a self-portrait of the person who does it. Autograph your work with excellence.” Author Unknown

THANK YOU LAURIE LIPP!  If you have young children, please note that Laurie will be offering a Sunday Children’s Bible Study Group that coincides with our Sunday Service. The children’s group will be meeting in the “Showcase Room” to the left of the main entrance of Plaza Tokal. We hope you take advantage of Laurie’s commitment to our church and your children and will show compassion if she asks you for help.

For the next few weeks, we would like for you to consider (think about) this very important question: Do you belong to a church or do you simply attend a church?

A Wednesday Men’s Group is offered by Cancun Christian Fellowship. The Men’s Group meets at McDonald’s McCafe on the corner of Nichupte and Kabah at 8:30 AM. Please contact Tom Martin at tommartinmx@gmail.com / 998-121-1316 for additional information.

A Wednesday Morning and a Thursday Evening Christian Women’s Study Group is also offered by Cancun Christian Fellowship. The Wednesday Group meets at the Malecon Americas Starbucks at 10:00 AM and the Thursday Evening Business Ladies Group meets at the Malecon Americas California Kitchen Pizza at 6:30 PM. For more information please contact Cherilyn Martin. 998-121-1315 / cherilynmartin@gmail.com

Remember, Cancun Christian Fellowship always meets at 10:00 AM SHARP.

That’s it for today…WE HOPE TO SEE YOU IN OUR NEW CHURCH FACILITY THIS SUNDAY!
