With the financial help of our members and worldwide Mission Partners Henry, John and Tom were able to purchase and deliver a week’s supply of chicken, molida especial, pork, salchicha, chorizo, sliced turkey, cheese, eggs and a special chocolate surprise to our Christian home. We must grasp once again, the idea of church membership as being the membership of the body of Christ and as the biggest honor which can come a man's way in this world.  Martyn Lloyd-Jones

We have finished with the 3rd community bathroom at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza and it looks great. We will show pictures of our work this Sunday. Most of you will appreciate the finished product having seen the condition of the bathroom prior to renovation. The great news is we stayed on budget. Renovation included all new sinks, toilets, fixtures, valves and non-skid tile from front to rear and top to bottom. A special thanks to our generous benefactors that made this renovation possible.

Tough times never last but tough people do.  Robert Schuller

We received great news today…Prince and Kathy will be back on the 5th of October. George and Jean should also be returning the end of October or the first of November.

The word "church" is used one hundred ten times in the New Testament, and it is instructive to note that ninety-three of those are clear references to the local church. ...We may conclude from this large number of references that the Bible has quite a lot to say about the importance of the local church.  Wayne Mack

If you have ideas for Christmas at Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, we would like for you to share them with us. Christmas is less than 90 days away and we need to start planning for the gifts and activities.

A true believer does not perform good works to live - but he lives to perform good works.  William Secker (wow…what a great quote)

We have passed the six month mark in our new facility and we know you will all agree that our father has blessed us with a wonderful place to worship and praise his greatness. It needs to be pointed out that the management of Plaza Tokal is wonderful to work with and the cherry on the pie. It is a win-win situation. Also, the fact that for the first time we now have a Children’s Ministry is another blessing associated with our new facility.

Nothing of spiritual significance comes without sacrifice. Your spirituality will always be measured by the size of your sacrifice.  Jerry Falwell

This week’s pre-church entertainment will again feature Flip Pallot, host of Walker’s Cay Chronicles. We will be showing Flip in Florida fishing in the Herman Lucerne Invitational Fly Fishing Tournament. This is an exciting video and we know you won’t want to miss it. Please join us at 9:20 AM, sit back, relax and enjoy the show. Remember there is an OXXO next door if you need some snacks.

The only way you can serve God is by serving other people. Rick Warren (a personal favorite and words to live by)

Keep George and Jean in your prayers…they are currently traveling in South America.

The Church is not a gallery for the exhibition of eminent Christians, but a school for the education of imperfect ones.  Henry Ward Beecher

The purpose of tithing, found in Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (NLT), is made clear: to “teach you always to love the Lord your God.” By practicing good tithing habits, scripture tells us we are showing God our desire to put him first in our lives.

The story is told of a farmer who was known for his generous giving and whose friends could not understand how he could give so much and yet remain so prosperous. One day a spokesman for his friends said. "We cannot understand you. You give far more than any of the rest of us and yet you always seem to have more to give." "Oh that is easy to explain," the farmer said. "I keep shoveling into God's bin and God keeps shoveling back into mine and God has the bigger shovel." Herbert Lockyer

The Christian Women’s Group meets tomorrow night at California Pizza Kitchen, 6:30 PM. It will be a social meeting giving those in attendance the opportunity to share their summer activity stories, discuss future lessons and catch up on Katherine’s trip to England.

Life becomes harder for us when we live for others, but it also becomes richer and happier.  Albert Schweitzer

What an encouragement to realize that God has reserved you and me for a special task in His great work. In His hands we're not only useful, but priceless.  Joni Eareckson Tada

We started work on the 3rd community bathroom last Thursday and things are going well. We have not encountered the problems we had on the 2nd bathroom. We expect the bathroom work to be complete by Friday of this week. We are using the same tile and plumbing crew as before and we owe a ton of thanks to Brian Schaefer, our contractor. We could not do it without him.

Those that God used in the past were just ordinary people with an extraordinary Master. They were not all champions of great faith, but little people who saw their own need, and put their small faith in a great God.  Winkie Pratney

We had a Baptism last Sunday afternoon in Puerto Morelos. Tammy Cooper of Houston, Texas dedicated her life to our Lord. Several church members were in attendance to offer support and congratulations. The weather was perfect, the waves were minimal and we all had a great time. After the Baptism, we celebrated at Pelicano’s Restaurant where the view of the marvelous Caribbean is the absolute best. Thanks to everyone that turned out…especially Tammy Cooper.

On the most elementary level, you do not have to go to church to be a Christian. You do not have to go home to be married either. But in both cases if you do not, you will have a very poor relationship.  R. Kent Hughes (Amen…what a great quote)

This week’s lesson will be delivered by Mark Shook (When You´re Going Through Hell). We have previewed the lesson and we know you will enjoy it. We invite you to join us at 10:00 AM.

Church membership is not an incidental or optional matter for the Christian. Rather, it's an essential and important aspect of the Christian life. According to Scripture, being a part of a local church brings with it tremendous privileges, and serious responsibilities, that can be fulfilled in no other way.  Wayne Mack

Remember, you are an evangelist and as an evangelist, it is your responsibility to help bring people to God. Why not make a simple phone call and invite a friend, family member or neighbor to join you in church this Sunday. It might very well be the greatest thing you have ever done for them.

God does not judge the condition or quality of His church by how good the meetings are on Sunday morning, but by how good the people are on Monday morning. The main calling of our life is more than just knowing the truth--it is having that truth become our life.  Rick Joyner

This week’s pre-church entertainment will again feature Flip Pallot, host of Walker’s Cay Chronicles. We will be showing Flip back in the Florida with Tournament Champion Rob Fordyce fly fishing for Tarpon. Flip’s videos offer enough excitement for even the seasoned angler. Please join us at 9:20 AM, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

For the last two years, we have been offering Crosses to our church visitors as a memento of their desire to worship with our family. We are no longer able to locate and purchase the crosses but have decided on an alternate gift that is appropriately referenced in the book of Revelation…and no, it is not a lamb with seven horns and seven eyes.

Your greatest fulfillment in life will come when you discover your unique gifts and abilities and use them to edify others and glorify the LORD.  Neil T. Anderson
