“Command those who are rich in this present world…to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share…so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.” I Timothy 6:17-19

Our Mission: We honor God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian Mission Outreach dedicated to showing people, through our actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.

1/16/2013

If you are considering a commodity contribution to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza, here are items that are currently needed:
1. Children’s clothes and shoes (any size-any gender)
2. Clothes specifically for young ladies ages 6-11
3. Games and crafts in Spanish
4. Twin bed size sheets

“Of the Seven Deadly Sins, anger is possibly the most fun. To lick your wounds, to smack your lips over grievances long past, to roll over your tongue the prospect of bitter confrontations still to come, to savior to the last toothsome morsel both the pain you are given and the pain you are giving back - in many ways it is a feast fit for a king. The chief drawback is that what you are wolfing down is yourself. The skeleton at the feast is you.” Frederick Buechner

If you are in the Riviera Maya and have clothing or commodity contributions for our children, please contact Cherilyn Martin. All items must be sorted and sized before delivery. Please strive to make sure all items offered are clean and serviceable. Please ask yourself this question: Would you allow your children to wear the clothes in public?

“When you resort to shouting in conflict, you are reacting in the flesh. You have lost control of the only person you can control: yourself.” Neil T. Anderson

With the financial help of our church members and worldwide Christian Mission Partners, CCF Good Guys Henry and Gary along with New Guy Andy, were able to purchase and deliver a week’s supply of chicken, shrimp, pork, bacon, molida especial, salchicha Vienna, chorizo, sliced turkey, sliced ham, white cheese, yellow cheese, bread, cookies, media crema and cheese whiz to our Christian home. Cancun Christian Fellowship purchases and delivers groceries to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza every week.

“The knowledge of Christ's love for us should cause us to love Him in such a way that it is demonstrated in our attitude, conduct, and commitment to serve God. Spiritual maturity is marked by spiritual knowledge being put into action.” Edward Bedore

CCF Good Guys have fun while honoring God by serving others. We get together every week to purchase and deliver food to Casa Hogar para Ninos Esperanza. If you would like to fellowship with other Christian men and have a great time in the process, contact Tom at tommartinmx@gmail.com.

“A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds.” unknown (a personal favorite)

It’s a new year and the Christian Women’s Group is off to a strong start. The only thing missing is YOU! The ladies meet on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM at California Pizza Kitchen. For additional information contact Cherilyn Martin at cherilynmartin@gmail.com.

“The greatest of all miracles is that we need not be tomorrow what we are today, but we can improve if we make use of the potential implanted in us by God.” Samuel M. Silver

GREAT NEWS: Good Guys Henry and Gary have located a new facility for our Sunday service and we will be putting our John Hancock on a lease this week. We will give you complete details in church this Sunday and in next week’s newsletter but we will tell you now that the location is prime, there is plenty of parking and it is on the R1 bus route for visitors staying in the Hotel Zone. We feel it is an excellent option and there is an OXXO next door for drinks and snacks. There is also a restaurant on site if you need a full meal before or after church.

“It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” J. K. Rowling (what a great quote)

Prince and Cathy will be in church this Sunday…YEA!

“The greatest part of our happiness depends on our dispositions, not our circumstances.” Martha Washington

Our pre-church entertainment will feature Flip fly fishing for 100 pound tarpon. This is one you won´t want to miss. Remember there is an OXXO next door to the church if you desire coffee, soft drinks or snacks while watching the show.

“Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.” Psalm 68:5

The purpose of tithing, found in Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (NLT), is made clear: to “teach you always to love the Lord your God.” By practicing good tithing habits, scripture tells us we are showing God our desire to put him first in our lives.

“In this world, there is no clarity. There is only love and action.” Mother Teresa

Laurie Lipp offers a Children’s Bible Study Class each Sunday for children ten and under. The class is held in the showroom at the front of Tokal Business Center. For additional details, please contact Laurie before or after the service. She will be excited to talk to you.

“Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.” Isaiah 1:17

We are currently seeking a Mission Partner to lead our Wednesday Men’s Group. If you have the desire, we have the need. Please contact Tom Martin at tommartinmx@gmail.com / 998-121-1316 for additional information.

“Give and it shall be given to you. For whatever measure you deal out to others, it will be dealt to you in return.” Luke 6:38

The Thursday Evening Christian Women’s Study Group meets at California Pizza Kitchen, Malecon las Americas, at 6:30 PM. For more information please contact Cherilyn Martin @ 998-121-1315 or email her @ cherilynmartin@gmail.com.

Remember, Cancun Christian Fellowship always meets at 10:00 AM SHARP at Tokal Business Center.
