Cancun Christian Fellowship Newsletter 11/25/2013
Matthew 25:40 The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Our Mission: We honor God by serving others. We share a responsibility to bring God's love to hurting people. We are a Christian Mission Outreach dedicated to showing people, through our actions and love, the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
Our Mission Outreach

2. Ciudad de la Alegria A.C.: “City of Joy”: A Catholic multi-function shelter on Cancun’s west side. Our work is primarily with the Women and Children’s Shelter.
3. Centro de Integracion para Drogadictos y Alcoholicos A.C. (CIDA): A private addiction recovery facility located in Leona Vicario. We are the primary benefactor for CIDA.

“I don't want to live in the kind of world where we don't look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can’t change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit.” Charles de Lint
If you have clothing or commodity contributions to support our work, please contact Cherilyn Martin. We sort all clothing before delivery. Strive to make sure all items offered are clean and serviceable. Please ask yourself this question: Would you allow your family to wear the clothes in public? firstname.lastname@example.org
“Never underestimate the difference YOU can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help. This week reach to someone that might need a lift” Pablo
WOW!!! Over the past 2 weeks, we delivered two large bags of clothing to CIDA along with six large bags of clothing, two large bags of shoes and two large bags of toys to City of Joy. The donation came from one of our loving mission partners and, as you might guess, we were overwhelmed by their generosity.
“Every day, God grants us the precious gift of life. Yet every day, we squander it with our selfish, petty concerns, rather than helping someone as He helps us.” Kirn Hans
A local mission partner, the manager of a Cancun beauty school, continues to furnish beauticians to cut hair at CIDA every other Tuesday. Besides performing a much needed service, their work helps restore some dignity to the lives of the residents of CIDA.
“The way you treat people who are in no position to help you, further you, or benefit you reveals the true state of your heart.” Mandy Hale
This week, we received a substantial donation of vitamins and toothbrushes and we are very grateful. A small gesture with a huge impact. Both items are desperately needed by the residents of CIDA.
“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” Charles Dickens

"Life" is a gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to those who come after. Mike
Today marks the countdown…one month until Christmas Day. For the past eleven months, we have told you what we want to do and have done for the less fortunate that our father has placed in our care. Now is the time of the year that we ask for your financial help. Our goals for Christmas are much larger than seasons past. It is a huge undertaking but, with your help, it will be the best Christmas ever. Our Christian Mission Outreach currently encompasses:
1. 9 children at Casa Hogar
2. 10 mothers and children at City of Joy
3. 121 residents of CIDA
Our goal is to furnish Christmas gifts for 140 and to provide Christmas dinner for the 121 residents of CIDA.
As you can see, we truly need your help. No donation is too large or too small and all donations will be appreciated.
If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

“You either choose to help others, or you don't choose to help others... THERE IS NO IN-BETWEEN!” Martin R. Lemieux
The purpose of tithing, found in Deuteronomy 14:22-23 (NLT), is made clear: to “teach you always to love the Lord your God.” By practicing good tithing habits, scripture tells us we are showing God our desire to put him first in our lives.
“Doing nothing for others is the undoing of ourselves.” Horace Mann
